It’s happening! Colorado Springs, here we come!
Reliable, high-speed internet is a basic necessity, which is why gFiber has always supported communities looking for creative approaches to make sure their residents have access to fiber internet, including building those very networks themselves. Colorado Springs Utilities has been building a fiber network since 2022 and has made substantial progress towards its completion.
Today, we’re excited to announce that the Colorado Springs City Council has approved our lease agreement with Colorado Springs Utilities to use their new utilities fiber optic network to connect local residents to gFiber’s nationally recognized, locally loved internet service. This builds on our growth in Colorado, expanding our service beyond the Denver metro area. As a tenant on Colorado Springs Utilities’s network, we’ll be able to connect local homes and businesses even more quickly and with less neighborhood disruption.
gFiber’s service is built on the principles of uncompromising standards for multi-gig speed and reliability, a truly phenomenal, industry-leading customer experience, and continuous tech-forward innovation. When gFiber service goes live in your area, here’s what you should expect from us:
Symmetrical multi-gig speeds: Equal upload and download speeds built to handle everything from heavy remote work and high-res streaming to low-latency gaming—all at once.
Completely transparent pricing: No hidden fees, no annual contracts, no surprise rate hikes, and no extra charges for Wi-Fi equipment. What you see is what you pay.
Unparalleled reliability and service: Top of the line Wi-Fi gear included and support that’s actually helpful if you ever need it.
Now that the lease agreement has been approved, we’re finalizing the details to bring gFiber service to Colorado Springs. We expect to start serving our first customers in early 2027. Once service is available, residential customers will be able to choose between our Core 1 Gig, Home 3 Gig, and Edge 8 Gig.
And small business customers can choose between our Business 1 Gig and Business 2 Gig services. For updates on when gFiber will be available in your neighborhood or on our products and projects, sign up for city updates at gfiber.com/cities/coloradosprings.
Colorado Springs, we can’t wait to connect.
